What we do
- Semantic HTML with real headings, landmarks and labelled controls, so screen readers can navigate the site.
- Keyboard access to menus, filters, and the listing map and list — every control reachable without a mouse, with a visible focus ring.
- Text alternatives on meaningful images, including every listing photo and the neighborhood imagery.
- Respect for
prefers-reduced-motion: animations and the pulsing cues are switched off for visitors who have asked their device to reduce motion. - Text that scales with your browser settings, and colour contrast chosen to meet WCAG AA on the dark theme.
Where we are honest about limits
The interactive map is a visual tool; every listing on it is also available in the list view, which is fully readable by assistive technology. Listing photos come from the MLS and their descriptions are as good as the data we receive.
Need something another way?
If any page, listing or document is hard to use, text or email John. He will read it to you, send it in a different format, or walk you through it — whatever works. This is a one-person site; there is no ticket queue.
Standard
We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA and improve the site continually. Reports of problems are welcome and acted on.
